2nd time applying to MechE, got accepted around noon on 2/16!

Congrats to the 2 who received offers!

Email to check the portal, no hard feeling as very much expected.

Applied for Math or MechE, accepted to MechE

Rejected, despite a very strong positive response from the PI when I first contacted them. Confused.

TPB: there were a couple posts on receiving interview invitations back in late Jan. (fwiw)

Anyone who has heard back from the interview? Thanks!

Expected but still sad :(

top 5 RA, not a great fit for Sloan. I've heard from friends that interviews went out last week, so this was expected.

I emailed the MechE grad admin staff. They said the following: Some decisions have been made, but we hope to have decisions for all applicants in the next week or so. You will receive a notification via email at that time.

ttpb: I checked the previous years posts on this website (they're on page 4/5 right now) for MechE masters. Although I suppose it's possible that people didn't report the correct dates.

ttpb: How did you come to that conclusion? Based on previous trends, PhD/MS decisions are released first, then terminal MS decisions are released after. Regardless, both are released in waves.

ttpb: If you didn't get an acceptance this morning, prepare to receive a rejection email tomorrow. With possible exceptions.

ttpb: last year, people were accepted on the 10th, 11th, 19th and 24th, with some asking in between about whether a second wave of acceptances would be released. Not that history has to repeat itself, but that suggests that there will be more acceptances to come (hopefully, for you and me!)

For masters applicants: if you didn't receive an acceptance today, do you think that means rejection? Or could there possibly be a second round of acceptance?

No contact from the program post-application, just automated email to check the website.
