Received an email to check the portal. 3.96 MPH GPA, 3.81 Undergrad GPA in Public Health. Multiple years of research and applied public health experience. Weak on publications. Hoping others go better. Good luck to everyone else!

Totally expected - it was a tough year with a high number of applicants and fewer than normal spots.

Received email to check GSAS portal. Rejected for cancer epidemiology track. 3.93 MPH GPA, 3.83 undergrad GPA, 2 years research experience, 1 first author publication. GRE- Q: 89th percentile, V: 75th percentile, AW: 93rd percentile. Best of luck to those who got in!

Just got this from Harvard: "Thank you for your interest in the Psychology PhD program at Harvard. It's important to note that the funding for students does not come from the faculty member, it comes from the graduate school (GSAS). We receive the number of slots from the GSAS and there is an internal faculty ranking system in the Psych dept to determine which faculty will be able to use those slots. In the absence of the April 15th resolution this year, we expect to implement a waitlist, so some faculty may be able to offer admission after initial decisions are sent out and even past April 15. Faculty are currently reviewing applications and conducting interviews. Interviews (whether via phone, Zoom, or in-person) are always part of the admissions process for our eventual admits, but not all applicants will receive an interview. We expect interviews to take place through next week. Admissions decisions will be sent out in early March."

TTPB: Thanks a lot for your answer! Can I ask one more question? Would you be accepting the offer? I was just wondering if there are some applicants that are rejecting the offer from BBS to accept offers from other top programs..

TTPB: They said "This year we are using a program of rolling admissions. Therefore, we hope you will let us know your decision as soon as you are certain of your plans, as this will enable us to extend the next round of acceptances to other applicants, and so help your fellow students." The final deadline to decide is April 15th. Hope this helps!

TTPB: did they ask you whether or not you'll be accepting the offer right away?
