Bridge Program

Eight years of public sector work experience over four government departments, former military officer through ROTP during junior and senior years of college. BCom in Accounting & Finance. Other Schools applied to: Harvard Kennedy -- yes UPenn Fels -- yes, $ Columbia SIPA -- yes, $$ Full scholarship + stipend.

Received an unofficial acceptance email on 3/13 and an official acceptance with funding info 3/15 (full tuition + $29k/year stipend!) - a bit surprised to have gotten in because I had fewer than 2 years of post-undergrad work experience, though I had a lot of policy-related internships in undergrad. 3.99 GPA, 168/168/5.0 GRE, high proficiency in a critical language probably helped.

Good scholarship and I got all the offers from schools I have applied. Leaning towards Princeton March II

Got an unofficial email acceptance on 3/13, then an official notification including funding (full tuition + stipend) on 3/15. Pretty surprised to have gotten in because I only have two years of post-college work experience (though I had a bunch of internships in undergrad), but I'm guessing my academic stats (3.99 GPA, 168/168/5.0 GRE) and experience studying a critical language abroad for 18 months helped make up for that!

I got waitlisted GRE: Q160/V162/5 AW. 3.5 years of relevant work experience.

3 years work experience at a top int'l development organization but low undergraduate GPA and average GRE scores

Received generic rejection email. Definitely gave it my best shot and had stellar LORs, GPA, GRE scores, work experience, clear focus etc. so there are no regrets.

Admitted to MPA program. Low GRE quant score (v low look at it!) I take it as a testament that adcom does takes a holistic view of your app. Don't be discouraged if you are bad at test taking/haven't refreshed on math, put your best foot forward in other parts of the app and shine through! Profile: 2.6 years full-time WE (2 at top think tank, rest at top consultancy), many internships during undergrad. Fulbright, CLS, & national fellowship recipient. Publications. Accepted at Yale ($$$), Georgetown ($$$), UCSD ($$$), & Columbia ($$). Waiting on HKS & SAIS.

Received email ~5pm EST from the director of admissions. 5 yr work experience, development exp in college, private to public (peace corps) pivot. dream school!
