If you haven't heard back, email mfaunlv at unlv dot Nevada dot edu to find out of you got in. They don't send out rejection letters until later in the month. Not the most courteous thing to do, if you ask me.

Waited a long time, and placed many phone calls of inquiry. Luckily I signed my acceptance to another school last week. Figured, Hunter wasn't the place for me, when this other school accepted me quickly and personally. Says a lot

To the poster below: I just turned SDSU down because of financials, even though the program sounded fantastic. If you're in-state, tuition is over $8000, but out-of-state adds an extra $6000, then they estimate fees and cost of living at $13000. Honestly, it didn't sound like the TA position (which is a competitive position) came with a tuition waiver, and personally I didn't want the stress of constantly worrying about where my funding was coming from nor pay for another three years of school on top of what I still owe. Maybe you'll find better answers?

Then, when the rejection comes, I *still* haven't heard from the department. I'm not bitter - I got into my dream school - but it seems like a really lousy way to run a graduate program.

email to check website. pretty much figured as much at least they finally told me. i have other options so it's ok. i emailed the MFA coordinator and she said the most bizarre mildly unprofessional stuff to me about how i should probably take funding if it was offered elsewhere.

Received an e-mail to check my application status online. While the letter itself was kindly worded, I am really disappointed that it took this long to finally receive my official rejection--just seems really unprofessional to me.

After being told not to "completely" give up hope because I was in the top 40 applicants (which I took to mean "if 39 other people turn us down, we might give you a call"), the very kind form rejection email stung, but it didn't destroy me. 0A/9R/0W

Already accepted admission elsewhere, but it's good to close the door here.

Email contained very few details: "Please be advised that you are still on our Fall 2016 Admissions wait-list. The committee has not issued a wait-list ranking. As soon as additional information is released, you will be notified."
