Received emailed to check the portal for a status update. Standard "we regret to inform you" letter

Accepted, with guaranteed funding, for two years.

TTPB: I emailed with a professor at UofSC a couple of weeks ago and they mentioned that the college has certain procedures in place because of COVID that require them to send out acceptances in very small batches. They implied that there could be people they still want to admit but haven't been able to yet. Said they hope to have final decisions "soon." So I think it's still very much up in the air at UofSC in terms of who will be admitted or not and when they'll actually make offers.

[Ignore WL] Has anyone not heard back from Emory after attending the interview weekend? Wondering if any of us are on an informal waitlist for a possible second round of offers.

I was rejected from the PhD program but admitted to the MA program in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies. Will not be accepting. The grad director is super kind!

TTPB: I'm the one who posted withdrawal of my application to UofSC. I received an offer from another program that I plan on attending, so I think it would be better to give up this one sooner rather than later so that those in need could have a better chance. TTPB, you can withdraw your application? I didn't know anyone would want to do this. Does this mean you no longer wish to be considered for admission? sorry for the several questions. This is the only school I am waiting to hear from and I am nervous.
