I'm seeing a lot of posts about the admissions process. Were all the interview invites already sent through email? I haven't heard anything back either. Is there any chance we might be hearing back in January?

Received email notification from the department (via grad program administrator) re: interview/visiting day info and dates.

To the two previous posters who have referred to me in their posts (Skype interview & Positive communication with POI in October): Let’s use our forum usernames to refer to each other. Mine is ‘Supermind.’ I am an international student. Does that mean chances of getting invited to an interview is lesser? Also, do emails all go out on the same day? Or are they sent in batches? Meaning some of us could hear this week. Lastly, if one’s application is rejected, won’t they get an email expressly stating that? Would they be given that news only if they called up and inquired?

To the two previous posters (skype interview & still waiting): I saw somebody post earlier that they called the psych department to ask if interview invites were all sent out. I also called and confirmed. All invites have been sent out. Super disappointed because I had positive communication with my POI in October and I haven't heard anything. Wondering if it means we can still get admitted without an interview or if another round of interviews is going to happen later. Any insight is helpful

I was actually ‘blissfully ignorant’ these past days as I had imagined that the results will only be announced in January. Now, my mind is filled with these thoughts too!! Wish us both good luck!

To the previous poster: I am applying for 2020 fall cognitive neuroscience program too. I had a Skype meeting in early Oct with a POI (which was offered by her). Yet, I didn't receive any email or other notification so far either. Hope this can help you relieve some stress! Cuz I am freaking out here too. Wishing both of us have a good luck!

I applied for Psychology PhD (F20). P'sOI are Uri Hasson & Michael Graziano. I am seeing posts that interview invites have been sent out on the 19th December. I haven't got any email or call thus far. Anyone else waiting like me?

Email by PI, Invite to "Neuroscience prospective student visit", no mentioning of interview. Cover intl travels. [Intl student. 3/4y research exp; 2 pubs: 1st & 2nd author. 3 lectures, 5 posters. GPA 4.0]

I called the psychology department office and asked whether all interview invites have been sent out. She said that they had all been sent out but admission decisions will be made in the spring. Does that mean that you can still be admitted without an interview?

Aww so do we think that all the interview invites have already been sent out? I don't know if they send them all out at once or not.

To the notes below: do you think this was her own decision or all invitations were sent out program-wide?

To the poster below who just replied getting the department invitation to interview weekend: Would you mind telling which subplan you are in (Social or Cognitive) and the initials of your POI? That would definitely be very helpful. Thank you so much!

I just emailed my POI and she said all invitations had been sent out. Congrats to people who made it to the interview

Previous poster here! My POI said that the admission committee met on last Friday. I received the official invitation from the Department this Tuesday.

To the person who posted about receiving an interview: was it from your POI?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has heard back about interview invites in the Psychology department? From this thread, I can see that Princeton generally releases interview invites before Christmas. Anyone heard back yet?
