I wrote an e-mail to them. The answer: I regret to inform you that we will not be able to offer you admission to the Rutgers University Graduate Program in Physics and Astronomy. There were many more highly qualified applicants that we have the resources to support, and our incoming class for fall 2012 has now been filled. Thank you for your interest in us, and I wish you every success in your future studies. The status of my application on the website is still No Decision.

finally accepted. good luck for ohio, colorado applicants (declined today)

The GPA I refer to is my graduate one, on a scale from 1 to 10.

to the student that have accepted to the Rutgers, please be in contact with me, [email protected]

and I thought this was my safe backup, selected in much better universities already

Nice, explanatory email. 4 students admitted because Rutger's funds all students, and budget constraints prevent more admits.

I got this the day after I officially accepted another offer...curious! Has anyone else heard from them?

Also kind of late in the game! You couldnt have rejected me say a month and a half ago? Luckily I got into a better school so NYAH heart breaking Rutgers!

Admission with no funding, I'm gonna reject it. Good luck to the wait-list below if you had 40k to pay for tuition.

Assumed I wasn't in, since this was the first contact I received from them - pleasantly surprised, but offer comes with no funding at all...

I'm still waiting to hear back from 4 programs, so this will be my back up in case!

I emailed and asked

I was told that if anyone doesn't accept their offer, they will send it to me, so if you are offered and do not want to go there, just make your decision. Thank you very very much!

To the poster below: Thank you for the response, and congratulations :) Do you plan to accept the offer? If you are interested in getting in touch, please PM me (username = "honu090").
