No Publication, Low Undergrad GPA, Strong LOR

To the USC Phd posters below how did you hear about the fellowship? Was it part of your letter on the portal or did you get a separate email?

TTPB: I asked them how they will handle this one-on-one meetings to the Graduate Program Advisor. She said CE department will get in touch to work with us to schedule this during the virtual visit, which they should be reaching out to you in the next few days. However, even though I filled the form, no one reached me yet, and the event starts tomorrow. Is there any one who got a second email regarding the schedule?

TTPB: My track is biomedical devices/nanotechnology and I have 1 interview in late Jan. My POI (not the one I interviewed) emailed the acceptance to me and it looks like they're sending it one by one instead of simultaneously. Hope that helps and good luck!

Invited to interview for potential advisor/research group. One hour later receieved invitation to rsvp invite only event to meet ece faculty. Status has not been confirmed but looks like good news to me. No GRE submitted.

Informed of acceptance by POI, stating that I'll received the official offer in 1 to 2 days. Was awarded the Ernst Weber Fellowship with a $6000 bonus for first year. Research area is cybersecurity of power systems. MS GPA: 3.88/4.00. 4 IEEE Transactions and 2 IEEE Conference publications, with 2 addition IEEE Transactions under review at the time of application. Rejected last year, accepted this year!

TTPB, regarding email from POI saying you are selected( Field: Computer Architecture). Do you mind sharing your POI or profile.

Interviewed by POI a week ago, received mail from him yesterday stating I'm accepted. Said I'll receive official offer in a week. Field: Computer Architecture.

To the USC Poster below : Could you share your specialization ?

Did any international get a SIPML or other specialization admit? Seems like mostly American nationals have been accepted till now for any specialization.

Received acceptance in my promotions folder. Computer engineering (Electrical Engineering)

Area: computer architecture. Interviewed by two Profs. One pub in a different area. One short research experience in the area I'm applying for.

To those who got accepted, have you heard from Rackham? It has been two weeks from the College of Engineering's email.

Received the offer letter with 1yr of fellowship and 3yrs of TA/RAship. Have 2 publications: 1 journal, 1 conference. Had interviews with two POIs in November and December respectively.

Received an email from POI whom I have interviewed, he mentioned that the applicants were incredibly competitive this year, and I am considered as a waitlist. :(
