Interview on Jan 4th

Got rejected with credentials, CGPA - 8.1/10, 6 month research internship in Spain plus other research projects in Machine Learning. GRE - 329 (170q, 159v) TOEFL - 112. Bummed but hoping for the best from other colleges ! Congratulations to everyone who got an admit.

Congratulations to the people who are accepted. Could you share your background to us? Like papers, GPA, TOEFL, GRE, etc.

Received rejection from Masters in ML program today. Does this mean I am rejected from other programs, I applied for in CMU? Reason being, this program was at the bottom of my selection list in the portal, so the above programs rejected me or every program gets my application?

Standard rejection email. Undergrad from India with a CGPA of 9.58/10.0. Summer internship in Germany via the DAAD WISE program and an undergraduate thesis (paper submitted to IJCNN 2019) and a couple of projects in ML. Pretty ambitious option for me. Waiting for other decisions. Congratulations to all who got an admit here. :)

One publication at a conference. Research experience. 9.5/10 GPA at Indian university. 335 GRE (Q:169, V:166, AWA:4.5), 116 TOEFL. Bummed, but not surprised.

If you are accepted by CMU but decided to turn down the offer, could you turn that down so those of us who are on the waitlist could have a chance to get accepted? Thank you so much and hope you get accepted by all graduate programs you want!!

Had an overall decent profile,multiple projects,several internships(including international),one publication accepted,another ongoing,very relevant workex. But then again it's CMU. Ambitious.

Publications: 1 Conference and 1 Journal (Both first author) and two more in review. Three very strong LOR's - No interview - Did not contact any POI before acceptance. Undergraduate student.
