Got entry into both the Health Informatics and Informatics program (notifications came at different times). The program itself seems more academic and gears towards answering tech issues relating to non-tech fields.

To the poster below who got accepted today, which program did you apply? HCI or big data?

Received a generic email late in the evening on 3/2 to check the applicant portal. Letter in portal stated that I had been admitted, but made no mention of scholarships or funding. Applied on priority deadline (1/15).

So incredibly happy! First choice program. No funding information yet. But plan on committing soon.

Viewed decision via the portal (per email instructions). Little technology background (background in Psychology and Social Work), but tailored my statement toward what I wanted to do with the degree. Was in good contact with the admissions office.

Several years experience as a developer. Wrote an academic statement very specific to the schools social computing research and history.

No message about scholarship.
