Out of State Applicant

Grad GPA 3.6, 1 publication, 4 years of astronomy research, average GRE

Rejected with 3.5 years of research in industry. Good letters of recommendation from mentors and professors. Good GPA. GRE scores were okay. Two co-authored papers, but no first-author papers.

No interview, though I did speak with representatives at the 233rd AAS.

Phone interview completed. Said they will be contacting me again for updates.

Many research. 1 good letter. I thought had a chance.

Emailed PI (D.C.) to see check status of application. Was notified that PI accepted teaching opportunity at different university and is no longer taking a student. Very disappointed. Good luck to everyone else.
