TTPB: Got this reply from Barry yesterday. "Thank you for your query. We appreciate your patience while you wait for the decision on your application. Due to the fact that we are past the April 15 reply deadline, my best estimate is that your application is denied at this point. Please note that I am only providing this estimate in the event that you have schools and programs that you need to reply to with your decision. We do expect the decision on your application to be forthcoming very soon, being that we are quite late with the evaluation process." Please share his response/any other information once he responds to your mail. Thanks!

Does Austin give out any admits after 15th April? Or is it over for Fall-2019?

TTPB: My undergrad university is Delhi Technological University, India (formerly Delhi College of Engineering). I stand in top 1.5% of my undergrad batch. Had 1 international publication at the time of application. Working in the semiconductor industry for last 22 months as a Digital Design Engineer.

Had a phoine interview the day before. Got the notice via e-mail to check the website.

Admitted off the waitlist!! On April 15-- Talk about skin of my teeth! But this was my top choice, so I'm on cloud nine. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

I am also still waiting to hear about DICE. I was told we should be hearing back any day now, but that was almost two weeks ago.

I'm very disappointed. Not because of rejection but because of the disrespect I felt from the school. There's no rejection letter. In fact, I heard nothing from the school since I submitted the application, so in the end, I sent an email and asked. There's no reply from the staff, but just an email notification saying my application status is changed. I logged in and found that my application is rejected. They are not even bothered to send a proper rejection email.

TTPB: I am still waiting for the DICE track and I was told last week that we should receive decisions before April 15th. I am not sure about that now. Assuming its a rejection...

I went to the open house. A professor told me this was just to tell if we were "crazy". A grad student told me to not get in after being invited there I'd have to do something "egregious". A professor said he would love if I could join them. Matt said the only person he know of that they'd rejected had been a guy who was a peeping tom at the hotel a couple years ago. I never heard back from them, I emailed Matt over and over again. I called him and left a message he never responded to me. Matt is the worst. I just missed a top 20 school. Now I'm off to a school that's ranked about 40. But I'm excited becouse I think they'll treat me better.

Could someone speak to the pros/cons of each program: Michener vs Iowa WW?

Emailed one of the professors (he told me I was rejected) after trying to get a hold of the admissions department for weeks with no answer. They really got my hopes up because I got invited to the open house and they said "Almost everyyyone who gets invited to open house gets in. Unless they're like super weird!" ......And a grad student literally told me "like 99% of people who get invited to this get in!" . So naturally, my hopes were up, but, I guess I was the weird one :/
