Finally!

Went to NYU CAS for undergraduate. Two of my recommendations are from faculty at Courant

Has anyone heard back for MCIT? The 6-week mark is this Friday according to the admissions director, and I'm afraid that it's pretty much a rejection at this point.

Was waitlisted here but was accepted in Columbia. Don't know if I should keep waiting since this is my first choice or just commit to moving to New York. Any thoughts on schools?

They say they consider everything in the application. I think they accept people out of BS or very little work experience.

Ah, not surprised... Still disappointed though. They should have told us sooner.

Damn. These rejects make me feel so lucky to have gotten a top 10 CS PhD admit.

Got a mail today! If they had to reject, why did they do it so late?! GRE 324 GPA 3.78 1 paper 2 internships [non-IITian Indian student]

To the poster below, They sent out mass rejects on May 4th and 5th last year. I think they would be doing the same this year.

I sent an email asking about my status and whether there will be further admission. "Your MSc application remains under review. At the moment, we are aiming to have all decisions communicated to applicants by the end of April. You will receive an e-mail from our department with the decision when it is finalized. Thank you for your patience during our admissions process." Myself still having hope for this one. Fingers crossed!

For those MHCID applicants, here is the response i received today, "The admissions committee is continuing to review applications. Applicants will be notified of a decision in April. Please check your GATS tracker for any updates to your application". This week is probably the final decision week...

Had anybody contacted cse department?? This wait is just killing me!!

Received this yesterday from grad office in response to my concern for my app status still being under review.. 'The department will continue reaching out to students. If you have not received an admittance or denial, your application is still under review.'

Does anyone has his/her status as waitlisted?

It's about time. Schools that wait forever to give out results are the worst. By the time they accepted people, they definitely knew they weren't going to accept some time. The courteous thing to have done would have been to let them know then. But they didn't send out a single rejection (or at least it seems so) through April 15.
