Has anyone herd about funding/GAship through the Cleveland campus? I've called and they said they're waiting on the department to accept, but they wouldn't tell me whether I was recommended for one or not (now I'm under the impression that I am because they didn't flat out tell me I'm not). I need to respond to them by April 1, and I'm getting frustrated. I have another school (and definitely other writers) waiting for me to respond, but I can't until I hear back from NEOMFA (got a GA ship that pays for tuition from the other school). Contacted the department and the coordinator, but they are avoiding my inquiries now.

Very disappointed. Love this school's location and 'attitude'.

Anyone else has heard back from BU? Someone posted yesterday an acceptance for fiction, one would think there would be more today. Please let us know if you were accepted (or rejected) - thanks!

ALL VCU APPLICANTS - I've just finished a phone call with Thom Didato and he told me that all acceptances had been sent out. So, if you have not heard from VCU that means you were rejected. Official notifications will go out next week.

In response to the poster below, yes, BU has started notifying for fiction. Don't know if they went out all at once or are going out in waves though. I received an email from Ha Jin yesterday, saying they are accepting 10 students for the cohort.

Rejected via email. Pretty devastated as I really wanted to go here, but I understand there are very few spots. Congratulations to those accepted and waitlisted. (8a/0w/2r/4p)

No email to check portal or anything. I just stumbled upon this rejection while obsessively checking all of my application statuses. I'm sure there will be an email to notify everyone else soon. Best of luck!

Does anyone else from WVU plan on turning down their acceptance offer?

Has anyone been brave enough to contact BU? Do we know anything? Except for one "special case" in Poetry, I don't think I've seen any acceptances yet.

All thee schools - Minnesota Mankato, Hollins, NC Wilmington - offer my full funding, but Hollins is 2 years the other two are three years long. I just wish I had some info on the programs themselves. I know NC Wilmington has a reputation for being innovative, Minnesota Mankato is mentioned in the "top 25 underrated programs" and they seem super nice, and Hollins used to be great, now that seems uncertain. My primary concerns are quality and funding - latter is similar with all three.

Agree with the last poster. The 2 vs 3 year funding is what makes programs like University of Michigan so amazing. A third year fellowship with full funding and time to focus on writing. Definitely consider that a 3 year program (like Michigan or Syracuse etc) is actually offering you much more $$$ overall than a 2 year program (even if it's less each year).

Was called 3/1 and offered a spot, called 3/13 and offered funding. Absolutely ecstatic!

Thank you for the advice on Hollins. My current options are: Hollins, NC Wilmington, Minnesota Mankato (I've been accepted to Umass Boston and UNO as well but without adequate funding). How do these programs rank compared to each other and in general?
