to the poster below- I thought that Maryland had a great program, but I have heard countless stories of people hating the program. Apparently the program tries to "weed" students out (which no other program does)...they started with around 30 first years (last year) and are down to 18...everyone hated the program. based on that and other info, people made it sound like it wasn't good. i'd say go there obviously if it was your only option, but GW seems like an incredible program with staff that want you to succeed. hope this helps some!! | ||||

To asker below: Not OP but I was on MD priority waitlist and I also got notice to check website today. However, rejection letter was dated on the 18th, and I had already heard on the 17th from the program I wouldn't be admitted (sent e-mail to ask). | ||||

To the other poster- I searched for the difference between "under departmental review" and "under graduate school review" on the forum, and it just seems like it means they're just closer to a decision and not an indicator of whether you're accepted/rejected.
