i am the person who posted the rejection results via email. i definitely received an email. it said: When you submitted your application for admission, you indicated that Graduate Enrollment Services could contact you by email regarding the status of your application. This email is your official decision letter from the Graduate School. Your application for admission to the Program in American Studies in the Graduate School of Arts and Science has been received and carefully reviewed. We regret to inform you that we are not able to extend an offer of admission to you at this time.
