Email to check portal. Told to opt in if interested in being on the waitlist. Final decision will be taken by the end of April

Email to check portal. Anyone know the chances of coming off the waitlist?

CS major, no research, GRE above program's average. 3.75 GPA. I'll likely decline offer as I have multiple others from more rigorous programs. I learned after I applied that there's a lot of non-cs background students in the program. The name recognition is good though.

Was actually waitlisted. They emailed me to check the portal.

Rejected from PhD, accepted for the masters with $15K scholarship / year -- will not attend.

Email to check the application page.

Told to check portal. I was admitted into the MPP instead with a 10,000 scholarship and 3,000 TA position. I'm going to turn it down, as I already was admitted into a different PhD with full funding and an additional fellowship. 3r1a7p

Current MPP student, whatever :)

email to check portal, notified that I was waitlisted.

I really don't care about this rejection, had already received offer from another top 5 school. This is meant to be my safety school, not safe after all haha.

Got an email indicating acceptance, but that formal acceptance letter and funding information will follow shortly. Straight out of undergrad, no relevant work experience or internships, history major, weak quantitative background, but strong qualitative research and writing background.

Received an unofficial admitted email from the admission. Expecting official letter of acceptance soon

TTPB: It's still top 30... I wouldn't consider that "low ranked". For someone who didn't want to go there you seem awfully bitter about getting rejected. Perhaps they detected your pretentiousness....

GPA from MA. Applied for this one since the PhD wasn't accepting this cycle, so it kinda hurts not getting into the MA, but oh well.

(I'm the original rejected post) TTPB: I only applied as a safety. This was my lowest ranked safety by far (the next one up is USC at ~rank 20). Thoght this one would be an automatic admit but looks like their admissions have the immature mentality of "reject the candidate before they reject us" like many other low ranked CS schools have.
