Received an email directing me to the web portal to check my admission status. I'm surprised I was waitlisted - at this rate I just assumed I was rejected although it is pretty much the same at this point.

Received response to email inquiry about the status of my application: We have made a majority of the offers we will make for Fall 2018, although we expect there will be a few more. All offers will be made in time to give admitted applicants 15 days for their decision, and to meet the April 15 decision deadline. I wish I could be more specific. BTW, we made offers to fewer than 10% of the applicants; Duke's MS program is not large, and the number of applications continues to rise every year.

Anybody heard from Duke?

For the people who were accepted by Duke MIDS, I believe you may also have the offer from NYU Data Science. If you decided to go to Duke instead of NYU, can you please kindly reject NYU as soon as possible? I am on NYU's waiting list and also admitted by Duke, but NYU Data Science is really my dream program. Please!

Only took 3 classes in cs when I applied with a physical science major. no research and recommendation in CS background, the only work in CS is founding a mobile startup with my friends.

Received the admission email a few hours after the interview, but I will choose NYU MS in DS, more technical and established. Will leave the chance to others.

Informed about admission via personal email from professor on March 7th. Official letter send on March 13th. Duke MIDS has been my top choice from the beginning so I'm overjoyed. I did my undergrad from Duke too.

Received an email asking to check the OneLink portal. No research experience. Only handful of projects. Fair LORs and possibly strong SOP.

Email to check website. I was already treating this program like it was a rejection since I hadn't heard anything from them yet.

The department submitted all the admissions last week, and the graduate school is working case by case to send out all of them. Good luck.

I emailed the department and here's the reply -- "we received hundreds of outstanding applications and we have only a few seats (less than 40) in our program so we have to be very selective. We look at over 15 variables including GPA, GRE, TOEFL, courses taken, pre-requisites, university, department, experience, skills, personal statement, recommendations, communication, etc. We should be finalizing admissions by the end of the month." (which is March)

I didn't receive information from Duke, neither rejection nor waiting list. Is there any students like me?

Does anybody know when the decision of Duke will be out? Is there anyone still waiting for Duke because of Duke is their best option? Thanks!
