Reached out to a target professor by email, and we scheduled an interview for today (January 3rd), which lasted 30 minutes. We mostly focused on the labs current direction and some fairly standard questions about my CV/experience

Received email notification about a status update on 12/22 with an acceptance to MSCS. Pleasantly surprised with the early admit, and congratulations to everyone else who was admitted!

Pursuing MS from a US university, undergrad from India

Undergraduate from a Greek University with bachelor in Management Science and Technology, majoring in Software and Data Analysis Technologies. Top 2% of class. I was missing some key subjects in Fundamendal Computer Science and Computer Systems, but I had strong research experience, since I had a 3rd author publication in a reputed conference in the area of Programming Languages. Very happy!

Hey I am Prathamesh and currently I'm pursuing my Masters in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (Fall 22) It has been a little over a year since I began the application process, and as I remember it to be, it was constantly one task after another. Being an international student there were a lot of variables at play and tackling all of them can become intimidating. To provide more clarity, I've attempted to write a rather detailed, end-to-end article around the whole process. It's something I was looking for last year, for myself, but couldn't find. Hope it adds some value for those of you who plan on going for Masters in the near future. Article: https://medium.com/@prathameshsonawane/how-what-when-a-guide-to-ms-923b456c0560
