Waiting to hear back from another school about their waitlist before making a decision

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had heard yay or nay from this program? I have been accepted to a few programs so I am not desperate but would still like to know. My status is still "in review" and the coordinator can't tell me anything.

My first acceptance! The email came from Jose De Pierola in the early AM. Unfortunately the CW program isn't offering me a TAship (though the English Dept. still might), & tuition is a lot more expensive than what the FAQ on the MFA website lists.

This has been a long and emotional road. Not sure if I'll be accepting this offer yet, but the email told me I have until the 31st to let them know of my decision.

Not the greatest news to get on your birthday :/ Has anyone ever gotten off of a wait list anyways?

Anyone got a call from UT- Arlington? I am yet to hear from them. Please let me know if you have been contacted. There is absolutely no response from them.

Thought the interview went well, got an email at 10:19 pm rejection. Nice way to end the holiday break.. Oh well.

I just accepted at another school and have turned down offers of admissions at UOP and Mizzou. Hopefully this helps someone out :) Good luck!

Well, I guess that's it then. 14 applied and 14 rejected! But to be quite honest, I feel that this is probably the best thing that could have happened to me since I just recieved my BA and have a world of possibilities at my fingertips. Congratz to all that made it! And to those that didn't this time around: please remember you can, make your own way into the writing career you want- we don't need to get MFAs to be a successful writer!!

Last school from which I was waiting to hear! Unfortunately, this is just too late in the game and I have already accepted an offer at another program. It is unfortunate because I was VERY interested in this program due to high number of matching research interests with faculty. Oh well. Good luck to those interviewing!

I was accepted with funding and a 33% teaching assistantship. I turned them down in favor of a better offer. Congrats to those who are attending.

To the person asking on the 24th...I haven't heard anything. They say the end of March on the website, but it seems like they're either cutting it really close or else forgot to contact me...

Undergrad in Linguistics and Psychology. Lots of volunteer hours with SLP and related fields. 1st time UBC applicant, 2nd year applying to SLP programs.

I haven't heard anything from UBC yet! Implicit rejection? Anyone in the same boat?
