got rejected by all the universities I applied to. I was rejected from all the top-30 spectrums, and it was only NYU and UCLA left. I was completely hopeless and making plans to find a real job and maybe reapply next year, and suddenly I get this email saying I got in. I have no pre-doc nor research experience or anything like that. I hold a BA in Math (5 years) and a master's in Econ (2 years) from a third-world university.
