2.7k first year fellowship

Not surprisingly. There is no professor sharing similar research area with me. I applied because my girlfriend is studying there.

Emailed POI inquiring about my application status (post-interview) and was told they couldn't give me an offer.

To the admitted person from Sharif: Did you receive your Bachelor from Sharif? and What was your major?

Only Sharif University of Technology-Iran (second person admitted from Sharif)

Anyone knows when these schools are going to spit it out?

I have not been rejected nor accepted. I submitted my application on January 13.

Early admission notification

I was not rejected nor accepted, bot submitted my application on December 22. No idea if this is a good or a bad sign

To those rejected/accepted at Penn State, when did you submit your application?

I think those were early acceptances, or they are looking through the application pool on the rolling basis. I didn't lose hope yet...

Master of Econ from Sharif University of Technology (Iran)

I haven't heard back as well, although a friend of mine from my institute got a rejection. If we don't hear back within the next week, I think we must be on a waitlist and we will know by the 1st of April (going by how the rejections were sent out in 2015). So if we are lucky, some of us may still get in. I guess even though there were no posts on gradcafe announcing acceptances between 5 March to 1 April in 2015 for penn state, there still must have been a few. Lets stay hopeful!

They said they are finalizing admissoins decison, which I think means no more than rejections. No hope at all...

@poster below: I emailed them a couple days ago. The reply I got is exactly the same as that you got. I know many students didn't get any words last year (fall 2015) until now. Maybe they just forgot to send out rejection.
