generic rejection, 6-8 spots for 370 applicants 7 publications in good (not great) journals (1 first author), 5 years research experience (2 @ UBC, 3 @ stanford), conference presentations, no real awards or anything though :(

Just a no from IQ certificate, possibility of specific PhD program accepting

Received email telling me to check the website. Generic letter of "too many highly qualified applicants."

Got an email saying to login and check status, standard rejection letter. 7+ years of research experience, good GPA, good GRE scores, good letters... Congrats to everyone that made it!

Accepted within 2 hours of interview.

This admissions season we have received a record-breaking number of excellent applications. The faculty admissions committees have had to make many difficult decisions. We regret that Stanford Biosciences is not able to offer you acceptance to our programs. Not surprised but sad since it's a top, world-class school...

Didn't contact professors before application. Low GPA, normal toefl and gre and are chemistry, 2 years research experiences, research internship in US, 3 good recommendation letters, 1 publication and 1 conference presentation. Excited. Still waiting for other results and everything goes well for you all!
