Suprising, given that I did interview there. No reason in the email other than "competition...limited number of openings", which is funny since the December 1st application deadline was moved to January 5th.

Not my first choice, so will decline for another offer.

A little disappointed

To the poster below: I know someone who got accepted to Penn State for medieval literature back in mid-February. Pretty sure the rest of us are just hovering on some waitlist. :/

Hi, I received a mail from the admissions committee stating that I have been accepted. No funding provided as of now. If any funding available, they shall contact me.

accepted by the graduate program/plan of study and the graduate school will review my eligibility requirements and communicate with me in the near future. I havent received an official letter with an offer as of yet.

If you have been admitted here or Ohio State and don't plan to accept, please deny the offer soon. I am waitlisted at both places and if I don't get an offer I don't go to grad school this year.

"Some interviewers felt your science lacks depth". OUCH. Thankfully I got accepted to an ivy shortly after, so my ego is slowly recovering.
