A week after the interview, POI emailed me to let me know that he's put my application forward and that I will be ranked with other international students by the admissions committee. Apparently, international students are not called for the recruitment event. The final results for international students will be sent by mid-February.

I was invited by two profs, we had two separate skype interviews in December.

I was not selected for recruitment day, which takes place 1/30-1/31. PI said that there is more overlap in interest with other candidates. I am a little surprised, and needless to say disappointed, because I felt our Skype call went great and there was a lot overlap in research interests.
