77%, 1 Research Paper, 6 Months exp

73.5%(CPI), a top college from GGSIP Univ, 4yrs work ex(s/w dev). First Admit :) .. rejects from- UIUC, UCSC, CMU(mcds).. this was a safe choice, but will go there if no other admits.

Has anyone heard anything from the program?

4th Admit :) . (Others being Purdue, TAMU and Virginia Tech, Rejects being CMU, UMich Ann Arbor and UCSD) Going to Purdue as of now, still waiting for GaTech and UT Austin. B.Tech Undergraduate from IIT Kanpur.

if we haven't heard anything from Amherst does it mean we are rejected? or there is still hope? Status is Applied, no change whatsoever

To Purdue poster below, I applied PhD and emailed dept. They said they will make decision before April 15. Damn, that is not informative at all.

To the USC poster below, afaik Masters students are only eligible for scholarships. They said the results will be out by April end. However, I am not relying too much on it as it's a one-time grant of $5k-$10k.

Agree with the poster below. They gave admits to so many people with lower profiles. It sucks.

Not affected even a bit, especially after looking at some of the profiles of people who got admitted. Followed thegradcafe and other forums closely over the past three months. Going by the pattern, UCSD accepted students with even average profiles (no papers, no internship / work ex, degree from not so reputed institution, bad gre score, bad gpa) but who applied as early as November. As the submission date closer to the deadline, cgpa solely (nothing else, none of the factors mentioned above, not even the undergrad major) seems to have affected the decision. Just thought everyone should know. No hard feelings though. Got into a better university. :)

Need to submit financial documents. "International students are eligible for academic department fellowships, teaching and research assistantships, and merit-based tuition waivers." Does anyone know when these consignments are assigned/determined?

It is 26th of March and still waiting. I asked about the status last week and this is the response: Thank you for applying to Columbia Engineering. We are working hard to review all applications and will be in touch with you via email in the near future.

To the UMass poster below, even i havent heard from them....status is applied since 22 november. Applied for MS in CS(AI)

Only 3 Admits out of 7 applied, without any funding from Ohio state, Stony Brook and NCSU. Any suggestion which two univ should I decline, please?
