Mail asking me to check portal, which had a generic reject letter stating the usual about competitiveness and large application pool. Expected though, given how this portal has been buzzing with people getting interviews from them over the last fortnight. I did speak to two potential PI before applying and one of them mentioned he only spoke to candidates they were sure of, but I'm not sure that Skype call went well too.
