ready to review for four months, just changed to recommended by department on monday, then to further review required today. supposedly i'll hear back in 15 days.

Got letter from deparment saying that I have been recommended to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office (GPSO). Does anyone know how long it takes to get an answer from this office????????

I haven't heard back from them at all. Status been saying "Ready for Review" for the last 4 months. Are they even considering the apps for admissions, forget funding?

It was a formal email, the last week of April. The status on Minerva hasn't changed though, I doubt it will. I don't know what it means to not have heard anything. If they weren't interested in some way I feel they would have told you already.

To the poster responding to my previous submission: Did you receive a formal e-mail for getting wait-listed? I haven't received refusal or wait-listed email so far. What would that mean?

To the poster below: When I called mid-April they said everyone should know by the first couple of weeks of May.

Guys, I am sorry that you havent heard from Canadian Universities. I received an offer with financial aid in the beginning of March. In Canadian Universities you should contact with your possible supervisors, so if he/she has the impression that you will be good student, he/she can arrange you finacial aid etc. In my opininon, do not apply to a university, where you couldnt find a supervisor who interested in you.

To the below posters: I agree with you all. Tell your friends not to waste their money for Canada. Canada is not a good option anymore. No funding, No acceptation, and not even excellent universities. I wonder if they even check our applications. I got admitted to all the US universities that I applied to. but no acceptation from Canada. I applied to Canada because I saw that my old friends got good funding from them some years ago. but It is no longer true. They have no funding anymore, I believe. There are much better opportunities for us in United States.

Wasted my money for Canadian universities! In Canada: no potential supervisor = rejection!

Canadian. Did Bachelor's degree at McGill. Also received a letter from the department about acceptance and funding details in the mail.

Canadian applicant. The wait between departmental acceptance and official acceptance was 2 months.

Got admitted , but conditions apply!
