Skype interview

For anyone wondering about interviews, the interview weekend was 1/23/20 to 1/25/20. As far as I am aware, this was the only session of interviews for the Emory University Cancer Biology PhD program.

To the questioner below: 3.64 GPA, 11 months full time research, 3 great letters.

Generic rejection email; told to check the portal for updated decision.

Email to check the application portal. Saw this one coming, all the interview invites were sent weeks ago.

Felt very happy after getting admission. Even though not so good GPA in Bachelor of Science Biology, still had awesome LORs, great statement of purpose helped to surpass. Really excited. I have 1 international publication, 1.2 years experience and unlimited passion for education. Cheer all.

To the posts below, sorry for the delayed response. I was interviewed by a PI that was not in my SOP. We talked about my research interests and they asked some specific questions about it. We talked about where the project may lead etc, so be prepared to talk about your research in detail. After a while, we started to talk about the weather so it helped me relax a bit. (I was nervous too :)) I asked a bunch of questions about the school, and the program. They were really helpful in answering them. I hope this was helpful. Hope to meet you all in the program. To the post below, congrats, hope we meet soon at the program. I have my interview tomorrow and I'm quite nervous, can you please highlight the main points they focused on in the interview? And who interviewed you (which PI)? My interview is with a PI I did not mention in my SOP.

TTPB: I have also applied to that program and have not heard back yet! Maybe we just didn't make the cut for interviews but hopefully they haven't sent out invites yet!
