Dear X, the graduate programs of the UMBC Physics Department received about 80 strong applications for 10 positions. As a result, we can only place you on our waitlist at this time. You are qualified for our program and we will return to your application in case several admitted students decline our offer. That may happen as late as around the end of April. So got 3 results out of 10 and the status is f***ing same : waitlist in all 3. If you better options, decline the offer from UMBC as soon as possible. | ||||
