Phone interview with POI

To the poster bellow who shared his interview info, thank you so much. Is it possible to also share what your research area is or the name or initials of the professor you had interview with? Thanks a lot and Good Luck!

To the poster below who's asking what the interview was like: I asked the admission office in 2019 if the application process would involve an interview, they specifically told me there wouldn't. But I received an email asking for one anyway. 1. The POI first introduced his/her lab and stated why I would be suited for their lab. 2. Asked me to talk about the papers I published and asked some questions on the works. 3. Asked me if I have any general questions regarding the ECE department of BU. It was done in about 30 min.

To the poster bellow who had an interview, could you share who is your POI, please? and what questions you were asked in the interview?

I don’t get it! Current MS student in related field, 4.0 GPA, 3 coauthorships, received a mentorship award, passed preliminary exam at my current grad school, and not even an interview.

They said the decision would be released shortly (before Christmas or at the beginning of Jan) but haven’t heard from them yet. Not sure if they have sent out the first round offer. Anyone knows what’s going on?
