Email said over 250 applicants this year. Would be a little upset if I hadn't been accepted by another school on Friday.

First decision. 0a/0w/1r/13p

Screw them, they just lost on a really dedicated and confident researcher.

Extremely nice, short form letter. No change on MyStatus yet.

Is there anyone updated from Electrical department (Power electronics option)?

Ignore the "Interview" submission (I reported it as spam but I can't delete it) was actually an email about being placed on the waitlist

Thank you for your application to the Computer Science graduate program at the University of Texas at Austin. We appreciate your interest in our PhD program. Today we are writing to inform you that our PhD admissions decisions have been made and the applicants we are recommending for PhD admission have been notified. Admission to our program is very competitive, and we received many good applications; unfortunately, we have to limit the number of students we admit. At this time, we do not anticipate recommending anyone else for admission to the CS PhD graduate program for Fall 2020. If for any reason that changes we will contact you. If you applied for "PhD or Masters" then you will hear from us again around the end of March / beginning of April regarding your Masters application. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and thank you for considering our PhD program. Good research experience, IIT, Intern at a top 10 uni in the US. Two very strong Letters of Recommendation (US Prof and undergrad prof with 2 years research with one paper). One very good letter of recommendation.

They dont deserve me. Undergrad from tier 1 Indian university with excellent research background and very strong letters.

This was very unexpected. I met and talked to 2 professors from Austin at Neurips this year. The one liked me a lot and he took a photo of my badge. This was a big bad surprise..
