Email from the POI said that he is sorry that he cannot offer me the chance for interview due to the special case this year.

TTPB: Which hep-th faculty at Yale are you talking about? initials?

hep-th: in email prof specified they are "on a tight schedule"

TTPB: HEP-th and I received an email from a professor. They're moving pretty quickly so he asked for an interview this weekend.

TTPB: What's your subfield, if you don't mind sharing? And did the request come from an individual prof. or from the department?

TTPB: Thanks!!! At the time of submitting my apps, some patent lawyers had been drafting the specifics of the application but we hadn't done the official filing of the patent, so I just talked about it being in progress.

TTPB: you're a worthy candidate! I wonder your patent was already filed by the time you applied?

TTPB: Of course and thanks! It actually was not a professor that I had mentioned which surprised me, however we still had some research interests in common. I have all my stats written out here: https://physicsgre.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=181795 (look for hurbe002). Hope this is helpful!

Got an email this morning. Applied right before the deadline and heard back today that I got waitlisted from the statistics and data science masters!

TTPB: How do you know they, specifically, googled your name?

TTPB: thanks for the update, and congrats on the interview. BTW, was the prof you mentioned in your SOP same as the one you got your email from? :/ Also can you share your research stat and level of academics?

TTPB: email to setup interview over zoom, just got asked about my research and why I wanted to attend Yale, also talked through questions I had about the program. Was just from one prof; CME

To all those who are shortlisted, congratulations! :D By any chance does anybody know what is the process after this submission? Might there be an interview too and any timelines around that? Did your emails indicate anything along those lines?

To the all three posts below, can you tell you us a little bit more about what type interview email you got? Was it from individual professors or the dept.? Can you also mention your intended fields please (i.e. CMT, CME, QCT etc.)?
