Conditional admission. Wasn't informed of my acceptance until I asked on 04/11/16 (no email was sent to me). Looking for excellent supervisor now. GPA is for biochem masters, which was completed at UBC-O. 2 years industry experience prior, 1 publication, 1 pending publication, 2 industry/gov't reports, 9 presentations (2 international with 1 of those best speaker award), one external grant award, finished early. Very tired.

Anyone got any acceptance mail from uwo? I've heard that some ppl got the generic rejection mail on 4th of April.

Received initial admission letter today, letter states additional information will be sent at a later date. For reference my undergrad was at UBC as well; BASC in chemical engineering. GPA isn't too high, 86%, but I have a decent amount of work experience in the environmental field which probably helped my application. Good luck to everyone who's still waiting!

Has anyone heard anything back regarding the decisions? Or know the deadlines till when the university has time to send out acceptances? They are taking way too much time. My application status is "Released to program" since December!!!!

It's been about 10 weeks since the Jan 31st deadline. No word yet. Application status is still 'in progress.' There aren't many CHBE people reporting on this site, so I thought I'd put this up as a signpost to others who are limbo both this year and in future years. If you received word, please post so we can gauge whether applications are being processed.

First acceptance. San Antonio doesn't have the most reputable MSW programs, but I have a home here and can't/won't move elsewhere.

Please, dear qualified students. I know that you have tons of offers in you hand. You are not able to decide soon, which university you are going to join. But here we are, that so called "less qualified" students. We are counting days, hours by hours. Constantly checking if the application status is changed or not. PLEASE reject the offer if you intend to. PLEASE, do it soon.

@UBC posters below. A prospective adviser wrote back to me saying that they will notify others only if accepted students reject their offers. And this process will continue till end of April.

Yo bro below, I've emailed them again recently, around April 1st, and they replied : your application is still under review .... blablabla. So I suppose it is waitlisted , otherwise why didnt they just say you are rejected .

To the UBC poster below. If you haven't received any intimation from them, then how on earth do you know that you have been waitlisted? Just because you didn't get a reject yet?

E-mail from history department attached a official letter with funding information. I rejected the offer.

I've tried so much, including writing some emotional emails to the professors in charge of the admission committee, not to mention networking with potential supervisors in the very beginning of the application. I understand that I am not academically excellent (but still adequate), but how can they ignore the passion and ambition of a young man like this. All the replies I got are like robots, nothing human like. I even start to doubt that how inactive the education system is .
