TTPB: Literally chill out. They were just asking a question, you don't have to be rude about it. To answer the question: I'm not 100% sure. That seems to be the historical trend. However, with the pandemic having a huge impact on the admissions process this year, I wouldn't make any assumptions!

Anyone received interview? Thank you!

Do the applicant below: I don't have any red Xs or even a GRE row in my checklist. If you wrote down your unofficial GRE scores, they might have automatically added this awaiting message for official scores (I suppose)

Email from POI for invite to "speak briefly" before final decisions

Do other Yale applicants have a red 'x' next to "Awaiting GRE" on their portal? The GRE was not required this year, so I did not send an official score report.

CME

To the person who received an interview from Statistics and Data Science, was it a formal interview call or an informal one with a PI

TTPB: I received an email for an interview with a scientist who is conducting interviews for the department, and it wasn't based on who you mentioned in your statement. My intended field is CME, and I was asked to sign up for a 30 min time slot in a Doodle poll and give a 10 min presentation on my research. From what I could tell, there were about 10 spots in the poll taken. Was asked some technical questions and discussed the program. They said decisions will be sent in the next few weeks.

TTPB: how do you know its 3%?

Got interview from POI

Heard the acceptance rate this year dropped below 3% with over 1000 applicants.

A zoom session with PI and concluding it as an acceptance

Email from POI following the interview a week ago. Best of luck to all of the other applicants!
