Had not heard anything until April 15. Called in the AM to confirm rejection as I had another acceptance/waitlist and was trying to make a decision, and received an email around 5:30 PM that a professor would be reaching out that evening. Was offered a position that evening. Guessing they keep their waitlists a secret there. I accepted and will be attending!

Email stated the cohort is full for this year.

Please, to the ones deciding on WashU offers make up your mind soon. Please. Please. I am trying to get married this summer. This is my only shot. Please

Received email informing me of GTA offer for 3 years ... but I had not even heard I was admitted

Form letter rejection from the graduate coordinator - finally, after three updates in February from the directors regarding the 'good reviews' my sample was receiving and then near silence even after reaching out to them earlier this month. Never be too optimistic when MFA applications are concerned!

Anyone planning on turning down a spot at UTK for the poetry MFA? I'm on the waitlist, but my other offers are pressuring me to commit.

Accepted off the waitlist!!! I said yes on the phone!!! Oh my god!!!!

Notice that the CNF cohort has been finalized and the waitlist is now closed.

Received an email I was accepted on 4/11 at around 8AM, but it went to my spam folder. Faculty sent another email 4/12 asking if I was still interested. Had assumed rejection because I had no prior communication about anything from them and my portal said No Decision on 4/10. Totally blindsided. Took a tour of the campus yesterday & did a phone call with a current student. Really loved it even w/ the communication issue; considering accepting once I know what's happening with the WL at my top choice. Suggest everyone check their spam folders - I have no idea if I was on a secret waitlist or something, but the notification came super late??

Just found out the waitlist has been closed. Congrats to all accepted.

Just accepted off the waitlist!!!!! THRILLED. To the previous poster, you have INDEED made someone very, very happy. Wonderful call from the delightful Ms. Boggs, they have been so kind and professional in all interactions with them. Barring any unforeseen development, will be attending! Hard really pays off in the end!!!

Accepted off the waitlist, but have just declined (I’ve decided to apply for another cycle). Hoping this makes someone very, very happy! :)

Emailed over a week ago for update = no response. Today, full rejection email with rude tone. Yikes!

Could someone speak to the pros/cons of each program: Michener vs Iowa WW?

Pretty rude email after a ridiculously long delay. Not applying here again.

To other poster: I got a direct email from Ander about it. Had been talking to him earlier in the week expressing my interest in the program; at about 5PM yesterday got the an email that as of yesterday morning all offers were accepted and the waitlist was closed. I know via Draft that at least 3 people were pulled from the waitlist for fiction.
