I have NO idea what is going on with this department, they reject back in the 6th of January then they sent an email updating me AGAIN to check my portal. Me excited and nervous thinking "maybe ???" nope just the same rejection. YOOOOOOO can you not kick me while I am down? But good luck to others because OMG.

Has anyone heard anything from UT Austin after the interview?

Interviewed at the beginning of January. Received admission via email, with the funding package coming in March.

Email telling to check the result on the application system. Generic rejection letter saying about very limited space available.

Really crushing. I have two published papers, one in a Nature journal and lots of really good technical experience. The weak part of my application was my GPA and I guess it really worked against me. Send love pls

3.1 Undergrad GPA. 32 months research experience but no publications at time of application. GRE percentile Quant:45, Verbal:76, Subject:89. Application changed to Grad 20. Got an email to check updated status on website.

Received Email to check website. Received particularly generic rejection letter: not even program specific but written for rejection from any grad school

Just happened to check the website, and saw the status update. First acceptance. Incredibly happy! Waiting on another school to make the final decision. +3 years of research experience, 1 publication, 1 under review.
