Rejected after interviewing with a PI in the second week of January. Congratulations to everyone who got in! (Field: NLP)

One published paper and strong recs. Pleasantly Surprised :). Was also offered a bonus and scholarship. Hoo hoot! Link... Look up here! It appears that the time has finally come for you to start your adventure! You will encounter many hardships ahead... That is your fate. Don't feel discouraged, even during the toughest times! Go straight this way and you will see Hyrule Castle. You will meet a princess there... If you are lost and don't know which way to go, look at the Map. The areas you have explored will be shown on the map. Press START to enter the subscreens and Z or R to find the map. On the map subscreen, you will also see a flashing dot showing you which way to go next.

No GRE. Conducted research my first 2 years of undergrad (1st experience was non-STEM). No papers but was cited in supervisor's dissertation. 3 strong letters (Research professor, teaching professor and supervisor from a 1 year STEM job experience I had in college). Very specific interest (digital privacy) which I made pretty clear in my SoP. No interview.

Very specific interest (digital privacy) which I made pretty clear in my SoP. Got an interview with the professor I mentioned in my SoP (an associate professor). Soo happy right now. Been dancing all day. Congrats to others who got in! See you in March.

Had an interview and got informal acceptance (formal acceptance to come in the following weeks). 2 research projects during my undergrad, one of which resulted in a first author pub. 1 internship. Undergrad at Canadian uni ranked in the teens (for Canada)

Interviewed by several professors in January.

got in for NLP. lucky girl syndrome strikes again!!!

Interviewed by PI on 1/17.

Ignore waitlist. Did everyone accepted get a letter/email?

I received an email from USC stating that they have never seen an application like mine. Like totally, I understand most people fill out those tacky online portal applications (EW!) but I went the extra mile and printer mine out on pink glitter paper and mailed it to the AdComm. I included a link to my OF which is just videos of me coding omg don't be dirty. I am ready to bring the FUN to the CS party! Being a normy nerd is sooo 2022.

so irl im a furry (corgi and shiba mix, rly cute i know) and harry the husky (IF YOU DON'T KNOW HIM, THAT'S WHY YOU DIDN'T GET IN!!!) came to me in a wet dream to tell me that him and dubs rly thought i was a good fit. he howled at my mom and my uncle but my witch brother turned him into jelly and convinced to play just dance instead. he was so impressed that he decided that we would be mate (WARNING: mpreg). ya and then he parachuted out of the window (this was actually rly weird bc i live on the first floor) and howled another time (like he was pretending to be jacob from twilight but if edward was trying to eat his liver at the same time). anyways he then sucked on my toes as i put my size 13 mens nikes out of the window and then hopped away like a bunny

Avoid this university at all costs! UA Little Rock has substandard process of graduate application with collecting PhD and other graduate program applicant fees firstly and not requesting any admission related docs. They have silly administrative systems and disorganized controls through out their entire institution space. Whoever you would call on for action before or after the degree program enrollment from the Chancellor to the cashier may provide zero assistance or would worsen your condition. Avoid at all costs.
