TPB: did you apply to the ENRE program in the School of the Environment? Or to the Econ Dept?

I have good connections with a few professors at Yale. Their kindness and professionals made me decide to apply for a Ph.D. at Yale, but unfortunately, it is way too competitive this year. I didn't receive a FORMAL rejection letter from the department but I have talked to those professors I knew, they told me they already made decisions and I am not selected. I didn't feel too sad because I know the ones who have been selected must be better than me ;) Good luck to those who were contacted by their supervisors and congrats to those who got in(maybe you didn't realize you're already in!!!)

Has anyone heard from Yale Film and Media Studies (no matter what your joint program is)?

TT Yale PB: Were you asked to schedule a 30 minute interview with a panel of faculty?

Reached out to the professor who interviewed me and was told I won't be receiving an offer.

I also haven't received a response; neither interview invite nor rejection, so I'm really wondering what this means. Average candidate from small liberal arts college applying for chemical biology program thru BBS - BQBS.

TTPB: I haven't had the interview yet. They didn't call it an interview. It was three sentence email about my application, that they wanted to speak briefly with me before their final decisions, and when I can meet early February. My guess is mid Feb for decisions. From what I can tell from previous results and forum posts, it seems like a formality, but people have posted rejections after interview

To the Yale comp lit interview (from several days ago): did you find out any info about their process/timing this year? How was the interview (if you don't mind)?

TTPB; I don't think they sent all the rejections. If you check the entries of previous years, there were 11-12 rejections per year averaging. Another reason is that maybe people didn't see rejection emails yet due to the time difference. I am also an international student who has an average profile. So I honestly don't think I didn't get rejected so far due to fact that I am a strong candidate. They just didn't send all the rejections. These are my two cents. Good luck!

Were all the rejections sent out yesterday? And if I still didn't hear back from the program what could it mean? I am the international student who wrote about the ongoing interview scheduling response. Thank you for your answers in advance.

Had a final interview with Yale's Chem & Enviro Engineering. I'm assuming letters will be coming out early next month, so next week.
