Got an email to check the portal

Email from DGS

Not a real result. I woke up feeling extremely anxious to check Gradcafe so here is a reminder that whatever results you get this week don't depend as much on your academic capabilities as it does on a narrow personalized fit for the department. You did a great job submitting all applications and last year was tough but the fact that you didn't give up means that you're an unbeatable entity. Good luck to everyone, and be kind to yourself. Everything (genuinely) happens for a reason and if it doesn't, we all remember what they say about Sisyphus---imagine him happy! :))) PS: Dartmouth doesn't offer a PhD in English.

GPA is grad, 1w/3p

Was emailed to check my application portal; the rejection letter was sent via portal inbox

Director of the LMC program texted me to set up a call - helpful and very welcoming. Email to come Monday am.

Received email around 5 PM CST to check portal. Rejection letter awaited me. It was a form letter like other rejections but felt particularly dismissive considering the cost of the application. Disappointed since this program seemed like one of the better fits for me. GPA is undergrad. 1a/1i/2r/5p

GPA is MA. Woke up to email saying an update has been posted on the portal. Found an appropriate rejection letter from Dean. My first rejection. Not sure how to feel. This application cycle cost about 3 months' pay with the dollar conversion. Worried about the other decisions to come.

GPA is MA. I did not receive an email from them, but I saw the other poster here and decided to check the portal.

Email notifying the decision is made. Check the portal and find rejected. 0a/2r/0i/0w/10p

GPA is MA. Rejected via email. I saw that rejection coming after I had seen so many people post their acceptances here. 1a/3r/0i/0w/11p

Received an email that a decision had been posted to the website (1a/1r/12p)

Didn't get an email, just checked the portal and saw an update was posted. I was expecting this since acceptances were posted last week, but still stings as I had a really promising meeting with the DGS & I already live in Nashville. They were only taking around 4 students though, so odds are tough! Congrats to those who got in! 0a/1i/1w/2r/8 p
