Has anyone heard back from UC Irvine?

Email from admissions chair informing me that I had made the second cut of the pool of applicants and that they're in the process of nominating people for fellowships and forming the waiting list. Also invited to attend one of their colloquia and weekly receptions or talk via Skype or phone if unable to visit. So excited! I swore I had been rejected :')

They took about a week to decide after the interview weekend. I am ecstatic!

Email from Graduate Advisor congratulating me on admission. Official acceptance to come within a week on the portal. Offered 5 full years of funding with TA positions. I'm really excited because this is my top choice!!!

They did not have "a faculty member who is accepting new students at this time with the same area of interest". I applied for Biological Anthropology program because I was interested in evolution and human growth and included a paper I wrote on evolution, but they said my application focused entirely on Forensics (mentioned once in my letter of intent as background for my interest in the field and once in CV), which they do not teach so it would be a waste for me to go there.

It's hard for them to fund international students. They liked me but mentioned a shortness of funds. I emailed them to inquire about my status.

For the two bio anth people below, would you mind sharing who your POI are?
