The rejection letter was brief, impersonal, and poorly formatted, but at least they were prompt. Little sad, but not surprising.

I thought having a good master's GPA would increase my chances (3.97/4.00). I think I will contact them to see where I can improve. Congratulations to all that got in!

ACS president 2 years, 3 years of research experience... Upset, because one of my dream professors was there.

Master student. Journal paper: 1 first, 1 co-first, 2 third. Award: 1 oral, 2 poster.

2 internships in the US, 2 LORs from distinguished professors (both internship guides), 1 poster and 1 presentation (both at conferences), email was from the director of graduate admissions, an official letter will be sent sometime next week

R2 public school. Goldwater Scholar, Amgen Scholar, 5 years of research, two REUs. 6-month research co-ops at Pfizer and a DOE National Lab. 13 posters but all papers are in progress still. Call from Michelle O'Malley, who seems like an amazing potential mentor.

Undergrad from top two ChemE programs in the US with one-year research experience. Also, one international research exchange program during the semester. No academic paper. Received multiple emails with the fee waiver code to encourage me to apply. I'm really surprised! Good luck everyone!
