I had some research experience prior to applying. Namely I worked on three NSF funded projects in undergrad and presented at two conferences, with two more that came after. I used two essays I wrote as a writing and supplemental sample. All that probably made up for my really bad writing GRE score.

Does anyone know what the chances of getting a TA position in the first quarter or year for an incoming PhD student?

Rejected after being waitlisted, and was notified via generic email after waiting over a week and calling multiple times past the deadline for decisions. I've already committed to a university more willing to work with me and who has been friendlier, so this doesn't hurt as much as it would have a month ago.

Anybody know if the ECE department has some sort of internal waitlist? Called the grad coordinator again and I was told a faculty member didn't recommend me. Havent gotten a rejection for two weeks when I first called and was told the same thing.

Good thing I stayed till after the credits for my applications

still on the WL. My top choice program. plz decline if you are not attending. I appreciate a lot.

Received e-mail yesterday. Don't know if I was waitlisted before or not
