For all who are still waiting for a decision from Cornell's CS PhD program: I know someone who is currently a student there, and apparently, most acceptances are already sent. Due to the high number of deferrals, they did not have many open seats in the first place. Expect a rejection letter in March if you have not heard back from them yet. Most importantly, be safe.

Received an official offer from the department. Interviewed last month.

To the ones still waiting to hear: I got my rejection last week. Since interviews and rejections have been sent out already, why don't you all call them and ask? It's only fair. Besides reading what the applicants from previous years who got late responses have posted, it looks like Cornell could be a bit careless with sending out responses to all applicants.

I applied to Management Track on Dec. 15 but I haven't got any news. Anyone knows if they have sent out interview invitations?

TTPB: I also heard nothing from them, But since the one person who reported an interview said it would be today, I guess we can assume that they are gonna let the rest of us know after today (i.e. the first round of interviews).

TTPB: still nothing over here. My application status still says "In Progress" under "View Checklist."

I was invited for a recruitment event (there were around 30 people) virtually for the Ithaca campus at the end of January.

Unofficial for now; official letter coming in the mail (?) in the coming weeks

Sent an email last week. No reply yet.

No interview (and maybe not the very best research fit). Oh well!

Rejected via email, no interview. But hey, I understand - it was a hypercompetitive year and budgets are tight

No Big Red. Wish I had heeded the non-responses from faculty and not spent $ on Cornell and Berkeley apps. Good luck everyone who got in, enjoy the Cornell dairy bar and Ithaca's farmers market!
