Got an email around midnight, very long, connected me to Rick Robbins for questions and linked me to HR pages where I could apply for additional funding. No upfront funding decisions made. 2a/0w/6r/2pending

Got an email from Daniel Orozco offering admittance and telling me my place on the funding waitlist.

35% Dean's Merit Scholarship!!!!

Starting to think this isn't my year.... 1a/0w/4r/7p

Is it safe to assume if you haven't heard yet, you didn't get in?

I guess since they only accept 5 fiction writers per year that my rejection shouldn't be a surprise... Congratulations to those accepted! 3a/0w/3r

Generic email from Katherine Kidd. Rather surprised to be turned away. Despite their request for every single transcript from every single extension class, summer program, AP course, etc., this was a backup school. 1r/0w/1a (2 pending)

Anything from BU Fiction yet? I saw someone got a call from the poetry program.

Got rejections from McNeese and Uni of Minnesota. Congratulations to accepted writers. I'd like to see successful personal statements. Please send to [email protected]. Thanks

Rejected by basic email. Bummer.

Ah well. 0A/0W/4R/3P

Basic form email.

I'm answering the last person--I am fiction and was waitlisted.

Notified via an email from program director Jon Davis

I have been accepted to several other schools, so to be honest I was surprised that I wasn't even waitlisted for NYU's MFA program. Goes to show that "good writing" is so subjective!
