I emailed them asking about my status and was told I am currently on the waitlist for an interview should a spot open up

Had not heard anything so I emailed their office. They were putting the rejection letters together and emailed back later in the day. Good luck to those who got it!

I was notified by email on 4/1 that I was placed on their wait list. I was asked for an interview with them on 2/2. My interview with them was on 2/14. I am an out of state student. They are accepting 16 people into the program this Fall 2019! Good luck everyone!

2.5k monthly stipend for 11 months as RA.

Received an offer for admission without funding for a non-thesis track M.S. The department coordinator suggested that if I had funding from another university I should pursue study elsewhere. No update on online portal.

Just received an email from the department granting me $10k merit-based funding for the year. Decent, considering my late application to the program. I am out of state though, so I am debating a deferment for a year to establish in state tuition.

I was just notified by email of my award for a generous fellowship that covers in-state tuition in addition to a 10-month stipend. I'm very happy to have received this, but will not be accepting as I have decided to go for a funded PhD position elsewhere instead. So for all you other Asian Studies MA admits, this fellowship will be back in the running! Good luck all!
