An enthusiastic email from Stacey Waite. So thankful!

Form rejection, incoming class of 3 poets and 3 fiction writers.

Received an email explaining that they are unable to accept applications for admissions this year, and they will resume next year. They are also working on refunding applicants. Not a good sign for education in Florida.

First result, first rejection. It's ok! 0a/0w/1r/8p

Received what I suspect to be a form email, but a kind one nonetheless. 1r/4p/0a

:'( Congrats to those who got in! Very generalized rejection letter via email.

Program is inconsiderate of their applicants. Finally received a rejection, it's nearly May. At least take the time to review and inform rejected candidates sooner so they can make an informed decision about waitlisted programs before April 15. Shocked by the selfishness.

that wraps up an incredible MFA season for me; so proud of everyone

Despite being super late, the emailed rejection letter was actually very nice (compared to other schools). It says, "Thank you for your application to the MFA program at Rutgers University—Camden. We've read your application with great interest. Unfortunately, we're unable to recommend your admission at this time. Competition for admission was especially intense this year. Our program is very small, which means we had to turn away many promising applicants. Please don't take the admissions decision as discouragement about your writing. We truly wish it were possible to accommodate more writers at this time. Please accept all our best wishes for your future work. Thank you again."

I'm so glad this process is over! 1a/2w/8r/0p

Didn't make it off the waitlist
