Doesn't seem to be a group yet. Can you please create one and post a link?

Email to check the portal which said I’m rejected. Coming from a third-world country where it is impossible to get a GPA above 3.7/4.0 in engineering.

The grad committee needs serious lessons on drafting emails. "hi your application has been rejected". Even a teenager could draft a more sensible email.

2nd Rejection. But, still happy that a decision is out tho.

1st Rejection. But, happy that a decision is out, tho.

Had an interview with one of the theory profs this afternoon. The theory group is very small, and Prof. Harvey has reached his capacity. The other active professors still have some capacity but it depends on responses to their phd offers sent.

The rejection email is the coldest one I've received so far. But really helps to move on now

I'm joining the reject wagons with you guys on the same day :(

Professional MCS

This is the rejection letter. Schools are becoming less polite every year. Not even starting with "sorry or regret to inform you": "This e-mail is to inform you that you have not been selected for admission to our PhD program for Fall 2019 or for our PhD/MS deferral waitlist. An official letter from the Graduate School should be uploaded to your application within a few weeks. If you wish to apply again, you would need to submit another application. Please note, we cannot comment on the reason for this decision and applications where a decision was reached cannot be deferred. We wish you the best in your academic endeavors. "

Anyone received any updates?

Rip

My MS was from a top 10 univ but from MechE not CS

TPB: same, emailed them several days ago, no response. No idea what is happening

Worth a shot. Good luck to those who made it!
