TTPB, did you do an interview? Or you received acceptance directly? And did any international student who had his undergrad out side of the US recieve any updates?

Transferred to my second choice program. Highest degree is masters with most of my cancer research being conducted during undergrad in the states. One publication.

TOEFL- 118/120. received the offer from department few hours after my interview with PI.

Interviewed 1/30-2/1 and went well. 3+ years of research experience and 1 publication (non-first author). Very excited :-)

Got an e-mail from POI. Had the Skype interview on Jan 28th.

Wow, this by far is the worst rejection I have ever received (and I have received many). I'm all aware that my research experience is not the best, and honestly I was not expecting to get an interview, but evaluating my application to be 1.67/5 where 1 is poor, and 2 is barely suitable for scientific career? I mean I have received an interview invitation for a phd in another good school (Dartmouth college). Honestly, this fucked up my mood.
