Overwhelmed & honored! 1a/1w/0r/4p but this was my first choice by far

I got a voicemail from Bret Anthony Johnston and have been screaming into a pillow for a couple hours. This is my second application season. This is the only program I applied to. This is the most surreal feeling.

not even an automated e-mail, just checked the website randomly.

CANNOT BELIEVE THIS! More than likely will accept the offer

Expected

that's ok:) congrats to those accepted!

Emailed to inquire, didn't get good news.

I'm thrilled!!

Undergrad from same institution. Did a lot of research with ICES affiliated faculty (4 years of research experience, 2.5 years relevant to computational science).

Happy Valentine Day! Wouldn't be complete without a rejection, lol! "Thank you for your interest in the New Writers Project at the University of Texas at Austin. We are sorry to report that we are unable to offer you admission at this time. As a small and highly competitive program, we're able to accept only a tiny percentage of our applicant pool, and in deciding amongst hundreds of files, we realize that some talented and worthy applicants have been denied admission. Thank you for submitting your work. We wish you the best in your future writing. Sincerely, Lisa Olstein Director"

I first received a letter from the potential advisor offering admission and then an update on my online application.

Accepted in The Geotechnical Program. Will hear about the funding in March
